Junior Becca Alexander had a strong week at the plate despite finishing the Spring Break Training trip with a .275 batting average (11-for-40). She led Alfred University in RBI’s with 12. She was one of four Saxons with a home run and one of three with a triple. She is one of three batters who never struck out. Alexander was second on the team in doubles with three and was tied for fourth in runs with five. She tacked on a stolen base as well. She started all 12 games in the outfield. Five of the games saw Alexander RBI’s and three saw her cross home plate. Her top performance was the Saxons’ win over Montclair State University as she went 2-for-4 with four RBI’s and one run as she hit a home run and a triple in that game. In the field, Alexander totaled 12 putouts on 14 chances resulting in an .857 fielding percentage.
