Sophomore Garrette Briggs had a stunning week on faceoffs as he traveled with the men’s lacrosse team to Texas for Spring Break Training. In his three games, out of a total of 71 faceoffs, he won 61 of them for a whopping, 85.9% faceoff percentage. He started the week off with an 18-0 performance against Trine. Briggs then went 23-9 against Southwestern and 20-1 against University of Dallas. He also totaled three assists and one goal with three points coming against Dallas (two assists and one goal). Briggs also leads the Saxons in ground balls for the season with 52. He tallied 39 of them this past week as all three games were double-digit contests with 14 against Dallas, 13 against Trine and 12 against Southwestern. All three games were Saxon wins as they went 3-0 on the week.
