Junior Sage Brown put on a shooting clinic on Saturday during the Alfred University men’s basketball Senior Day against Elmira College. He shot 68.8% from the floor, making 11-of-16 attempts. He tacked on 5-of-9 free throws for a career-high 27 points. Saturday’s game was his fifth game in a row of double-digit scoring. It was also his second game in a row with a double-double as he pulled down 13 rebounds, also making it his sixth game this season with a double-double. Brown finished the day with five assists and one steal. His biggest highlight play was when he and Cole Eels forced a turnover right before half court after a Brown free throw. Eels got the steal and lobbed it over to Brown who drove to the hoop, slammed it one-handed over top of one of the Elmira defenders and sent the home crowd into a frenzy.
