First-year Lauren Serotta had a strong weekend as she helped the Saxons produce two wins out of the three between Friday and Saturday. First, on Friday, she helped Alfred University strong-arm Pitt-Bradford. She joined Olivia Piazza, Zeruviah Adams and Kristin Brown in the 400 medley relay for a 4:33.45 win. She finished the evening with two individual races in the 400 individual medley with a winning time of 5:14.44 and the 200 backstroke in which she had the top finish of 2:21.31 but was changed to exhibition that late in the meet. During Saturday’s tri-meet at University of Rochester against the hosts and Fredonia, Serotta helped her 200 medley relay team top Fredonia with a time of 2:00.01. In the 100 backstroke, Serotta took second against Rochester and defeated Fredonia with a time of 1:04.10 before taking third against the hosts and, once again, defeated the Blue Devils with a time of 2:19.55 in the 200 backstroke. She rounded out her weekend with a second place finish in 100 butterfly against both schools. She swam a 1:06.24 in her final event.
