First-year Lauren Serotta led the Saxons at Hartwick College with three first-place finishes in individual events. She defeated the rest of the pool in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.69, besting them by almost three seconds and still earning yet another spot in the Top-15 in Alfred University history. Her 200-yard backstroke was also a Top-15 time as she swam a 2:19.42 for the win. Serotta finished her wins with a 2:28.61 in the 200-yard individual medley. She teamed with fellow Saxons, Amanda Guariglia, Liz Schiffhauer and Kristin Brown for a second place finish in the 200-yard medley relay where they swam a 2:01.80. Serotta had the fastest backstroke leg of the race with a 29.33, topping the rest of the five-team field by almost two whole seconds or more. Serotta also won two individual titles during Thursday’s meet at Division II LeMoyne College. She won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:17.65 and the 200-yard individual medley with a mark of 2:25.09.
