Senior Maleke Fuentes had the best rushing game in Alfred University history as he ran the ball 25 times for 295 yards and five touchdowns. Fuentes and the rest of the runners for the Saxons broke the school record for most rushing yards in a single game with 627, shattering the old record of 482 set against Hobart College in 1990. As an individual, he broke the school record for most rushing yards in a single game, topping Chaz Bruce’s ’04 record of 282 against Norwich University in 2004. He tied Jesse Raynor ’03 and his five rushing touchdowns in a single game. Raynor, a Hall of Fame Inductee of 2015, met that mark twice in his career against Canisius College in 2000 and Utica College in 2001.
