Senior Aubrey Totsline had an absolutely amazing week as setter for the Saxons. She helped the Saxons go 2-1 in Empire 8 action as they competed in three, five-set matches with wins over Elmira College and Hartwick College. Coming into Tuesday’s meeting with Elmira, Totsline needed 43 set assists to break Jen McLaughlin’s ’98 record of 2,532 career set assists. Totsline busted out a huge, 53-assists performance in the Saxon win. She then added 48 set assists against Houghton College before breaking the half-century mark again with a new personal best of 56 assists in one match when the Saxons topped the Hawks. Totsline added 22 digs and five aces on the week. In all three matches, she spread the wealth of her set assists between Amber Smith, Jacquelynn Hicks and Heather D’Andrea.
