Freshman Andy Edmister had a strong weekend, picking up two first place individual wins, two relay wins and two second place individual wins between Friday’s meets against Utica College and Wells College and Saturday’s meet against Hartwick College. He was perfect in the pool on Friday on the road at Utica against the Pioneers and Express as he joined Richard Berger, Joseph Lawrence and Andrew Grant in the 200 medley relay for a 1:42.06 first place finish. Edmister then won the 50 free (22.96) and the 100 backstroke (55.70) to close out the road trip. To get things started on Saturday, Edmister teamed with Berger, Lawrence and Patrick Brown to top the Hawks in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:39.55. He then defeated his older brother Brian of Hartwick in the 100 back with a second-place time of 54.31 before taking second in the 50 free (23.60).
