Senior Ian Bishop (Bronx, NY/Bronxwood Prep) earned himself All-Empire 8 Conference First Team honors with his first place win in the shot put. His toss was 9.75 inches farther than the rest of the 25-athlete field with a final throw of 14.88m (48' – 10.00"). He earned the bulk of the points for the Saxons with 10 of the team's 19 points. The throw was also a personal best on the season, topping his mark of 14.59 meters in January at the Golden Eagle Invitational at Brockport.
