Heather D'Andrea joined the Alfred University women's volleyball coaching staff as a Graduate Assistant Coach in August of 2021, returning to her alma mater after graduating in 2018.

D’Andrea recorded 11 service aces on September 12, 2014 in a matchup with Bard College to hold the Alfred University school record in a four-set match. Graduating alongside of D’Andrea and co-holding the school record in career aces with 143, is Aubrey Totsline ’18 as both surpassed the previous record of 141 held by Beth Sanger ’06.
 
D’Andrea will join Head Coach Dakota Pruiss and Assistant Coach Mike Honeycutt as the Saxons look to carry their electric momentum after a strong finish during the 2020 schedule (held in the Spring of 2021 due to the COVID-19 global pandemic).
 
Supplementing her two school records, D’Andrea is also listed in the Top-10 in rally-era career kills with 641 (No. 5), single-season rally-era kills with 265 in 2016 (No. 5), rally-era career kills per set (minimum of 100 sets) with 1.80 in 364 sets (No. 6), rally-era single season aces with 45 in 2016 (No. 6), rally-era career digs with 986 to tie with Sanger (No. 3), rally-era single season digs with 358 in 2016 to tie with Brittany Anselment ’14 (No. 5), rally-era digs per set in a career with 2.76 on 364 sets, rally-era career points with 813.5 (No. 5), rally-era single season points with 324.5 in 2016 (No. 8) and rally-era points per set with 2.28 (No. 9), showcasing her versatility on the court.
 
Off the court, D’Andrea earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with minors in accounting and equine management, having been a member of the Alfred University hunt seat equestrian team. She earned Empire 8 President’s List on multiple occasions, needing a 3.75 GPA in a semester to qualify. D’Andrea was also a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, the national honors fraternity for student-athletes, inducted during her junior season and also being named a finalist for the Ideal Saxon Award her senior year.
 
Originally from Erie, PA, D’Andrea will take classes in order to earn her Master’s in Business Administration.
