Career: Earned All-Conference First team in the 200-backstroke in all but his freshman year...earned Second Team All-Conference in the 100-yard backstroke three times (2020, 2019, 2017)...finished with three Empire 8 Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week and an eight-time winner of the Saxon of the Week.
2019-20: Won
the 200-backstroke for the third time in his collegiate career at the Empire 8 Swimming & Diving Championships to claim All-Conference First Team (02.22.20)...finished second in the 100-yard backstroke at the Empire 8 Swimming & Diving championships to earn All-Conference Second Team also for the third time in his collegiate career (02.21.20).
2018-19: Won the 200-yard backstroke at the Empire 8 Swimming & Diving Championships to claim All-Conference First Team (02.23.19)...took second in the 100-yard backstroke at the Empire 8 Swimming & Diving Championships to earn All-Conference Second Team (02.22.19).
2017-18: Earned All-Empire 8 First Team in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:50.74 at the Empire 8 Swimming & Diving Championships (02.25.18).
2016-17: Earned All-Empire 8 Second Team in the 100-backstroke when he swam a personal best 52.03 in the 100 backstroke during the third day of the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championships, placing second in E8 and fourth overall (02.17.17)
Before AU: Swam for Brian Edmister II and the Jaguars of Genesee Valley Central School in Belmont, NY...also swam club for the Aquajags...earned Swimmer of the Year...was a two-time State Champion Speedo Qualifier...earned six Sectional Championships...member of the National Honors Society.
Personal: Parents are Brian and Tina Edmister...majors in pre-environmental and forestry.
