Evan Liu joined the Alfred University Athletic Communications staff in August of 2024.
Prior to AU, Liu graduated from Colorado State University in 2023 with his BA in Political Science with a minor in Media Studies. He was the Communications Intern for CSU Athletics where he helped manage game day operations and reported on a variety of D1 events across multiple sports.
Most recently, Liu was the Social Media Manager and Writer for The Daily DownForce, a website focusing on all things NASCAR, assisting with the launch of the new platform to share and promote growth while covering the races. He also has been the Managing Editor for two websites at a professional level covering the Colorado Avalanche, Puck Yeti, and the official SBNation site of the Avs, Mile High Hockey.
Liu also volunteered for the NCAA during the March Madness first and second rounds, taking part in game operations, pregame and post game setup and breakdown, and gaining insightful quotes in locker rooms post game from both teams, with transcribed quotes being officially released by the NCAA.
