Scott Larsen joins the Alfred University men's soccer staff as an assistant coach entering the 2022 season following a successful playing career with the program. Larsen previously graduated from Alfred University in 2021 with his bachelor's degree in health & fitness management. 

Larsen, a native of Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey, played for the men's soccer team for three seasons, appearing in 12 contests. Larsen was named as a team captain prior to the 2020 season. During his career with AU, the Saxons reached the postseason in all three years, including an Empire 8 Finals appearance in 2019. 

Prior to AU, Larsen spent two years playing for the men's soccer team at Ocean County College, where he appeared in 31 contests. While at Ocean County, Larsen was part of a team that finished as regional champions. He later appeared in the NJCAA Division III National Tournament, where his team finished sixth in the country during the 2017 season. 

Larsen has additionally played club ball for both Jersey Shore Boca and New Egypt Barcelona.
