Matthew Wedzik joined the Alfred University Athletic Communications staff in the Spring of 2023 as the Graduate Assistant.

Wedzik was a four-year member of the Alfred University men's soccer team as one of the top defenders for the Saxons. Throughout logging in over 2,500 minutes of playing time, he chipped in on offensive efforts for the Saxons, totaling four assists and one goal while helping AU to the Empire 8 Championship Tournament three times.

Off the field, he was an extremely brilliant student, earning Empire 8 President's List (GPA of 3.75 or higher) in all seven of his semesters as an undergraduate. Most recently, Wedzik was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

He graduated in the Fall '22 semester and is studying towards his MBA.
