Joey Carra III joined the Alfred University men's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2023 season. Carra joined the coaching staff following a successful playing career with the Saxons. Carra was an attack for the men's lacrosse team for three years, graduating in May of 2021 with his Bachelor's in Psychology. The following year, Carra completed his Master's in Business Administration.  

Carra enjoyed a successful collegiate career with Alfred University. In the classroom, he was a three-time Saxon Scholar Athlete and made the Dean's List in the fall of 2021. 

Before his time at Alfred University, Carra went to Webster Schroeder High School while living in Webster, NY.
