Prior to AU: Assistant Coach at Alfred State College

Adam DuPree began his tenure as an assistant coach for the AU men’s lacrosse team in 2006, serving primarily as the defensive coordinator. DuPree was then elevated to the Head Assistant Coach.

DuPree has coached many great defensemen for Alfred University over the years, including USILA All-American Jake Spadoni '13 and ECAC First Team All-Region honoree Shane Weber '20. Spadoni graduated from Alfred University as the all-time leader with 143 caused turnovers, setting the program record with 45 caused turnovers during his senior season. Spadoni additionally picked up 196 career ground balls, which is the seventh-highest mark in program history. In 2021, Weber surpassed Spadoni for the career caused turnovers record, registering 154 by the end of his career. Weber tied Spadoni's single-season caused turnover mark with 45 during the 2019 season. Weber was credited with 244 career ground balls, which ranks fourth in program history. 

As a team, Alfred University has reached the Empire 8 Championship Tournament in each of the last six seasons. During the 2025 season, Alfred University set the program record with a conference-best 141 goals allowed. 

A native of Penn Yan, NY, DuPree was a teammate of AU head coach Jason Lockner at Corning Community College and also played at Herkimer Community College. DuPree was an assistant under Lockner for four years at Alfred State College, where he helped coach four junior college All-Americans.

DuPree has an associate's degrees in math and liberal arts from Corning Community College. He lives in Corning with wife Stella, their two sons and a daughter.Â
