Yoni Gelb joined the Alfred University men's basketball staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2022-23 season. 

Prior to AU, Gelb served as the head coach of the women's club basketball team at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2017-22. He led the women's team to a NIRSA National Championship during the 2021-22 season. 

Gelb completed his bachelor's in mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May of 2020. He graduated with a 3.65 GPA and was a Dean's List recipient on six occasions. While at Wisconsin-Madison, Gelb spent a semester overseas and played with the Denmark Technical Men's 1 team in the spring of 2019.
