The Alfred University men's basketball team announced the addition of Jake Sutton to their coaching staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2023-24 season.

Sutton most recently spent time with PennWest University at Clarion, receiving his master's degree in business administration in June of 2023. While with the Eagles, Sutton additionally served as the Graduate Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. Sutton oversaw day-to-day basketball operations with the program and assisted in recruiting both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 recruiting classes.

Sutton previously graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, earning his degree in sports and recreation management. With the Panthers, Sutton was named as the Men's Basketball Assistant Coach during the 2020-21 season.

Sutton, a native of Corry, PA, was additionally involved with YMCA of Corry as the Youth Basketball Clinic Director in 2017. He was in charge of instructing an 8-week summer session to develop basketball skills for youth players.
