Gregory Schiefen is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Alfred University men’s basketball team.
Schiefen comes to AU from Corning Community College, where he served as assistant coach for the 2013-14 season. His previous coaching experience also includes serving as head coach for the Elmira Notre Dame junior varsity summer program (2013) and as modified girls coach at Charlotte (NC) Preparatory School from 2011-12.
He also has extensive experience as a basketball camp counselor, serving at camps in Elmira, NY; Charlotte, NC; Horseheads, NY; and Corning, NY.
Schiefen earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management (minor in coaching) from the State University College at Brockport in 2013. He was a four-year member of the Brockport men’s basketball team (2007-11).
