The Alfred University men's basketball team announced the addition of Ben Reding to their coaching staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2024-25 season.
Prior to AU, Reding served as a Men's Basketball Intern across the street at Alfred State College during the 2023-24 season. With the Pioneers, Reding was responsible for breaking down film, scouting, assisting with individual training sessions, and producing social media content for the program.
Reding, a native of Rochester, NY, previously worked as a Coach and Program Coordinator at Total Sports Experience, as well as being an Assistant Coach at the Sports Boosters Summer Basketball Camp.
Reding graduated from Alfred State College with his bachelor's degree in Sports Management while competing as a member of the men's basketball program. During his three-year career with the Pioneers, Reding appeared in 52 career games.
