Austin Dwyer

Austin Dwyer is in his third season as a graduate assistant this fall, coaching tight ends. Dwyer graduated from Alfred University in May 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in counseling, after concluding an outstanding four-year career on the AU football team. A four-year starting tailback for the Saxons, Dwyer finished his career with 3,279 rushing yards, which ranks fourth on the school’s all-time list. He was a three-time Empire 8 Conference all-star, earning league Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman in 2010, when he ran for a school single-season record 1,437 yards and helped lead the team to the quarterfinals of the NCAA championship tournament. Dwyer is pursuing a master’s degree in school counseling.
