AU Football Policies Set for 2026 Season

ALFRED, NY – As Alfred University Football prepares for the 2026 season, the season ticket, parking and tailgating policies have been set.

The Saxons have five home games slated for the 2026 regular season, with the first home contest at Yunevich Stadium featuring Alfred University hosting St. Lawrence University on September 19 at 12:00 PM.

Alfred University will compete at home the following week on September 26 against St. John Fisher University at 12:00 PM as part of Homecoming/Family Weekend. The Saxons will later host Cortland on October 17 at 12:00 PM. Following a road contest at Utica University, AU will return home to face SUNY Brockport on October 31 at 12:00 PM. The Alfred Cup football game will be hosted on November 7. In addition to the Alfred Cup, Alfred University Athletics will celebrate Hall of Fame Weekend and Senior Day.

General Admission:
To enhance the game day experience, Alfred University Athletics permits free admission to all home regular season contests for the 2026 season. While 'Lifetime Saxon Nation' members will receive their purple seat passes, fans will be welcomed to root on our Saxons from the purple seats, unless there is a reserved seating notice.

Parking:
Saxon Nation members are permitted to park their vehicles in premium areas in the main parking lot behind the McLane Center. All general admission members will have the opportunity to park either in the grass lot behind Yunevich Stadium or at the main parking lot behind the McLane Center on a first come, first serve basis. Visiting fans will be directed to park at the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum at 2 Pine St.

Tailgating:
Fans wishing to set up tailgate sections for pre/post-game activities are asked to keep them confined to their parking section. Tailgating is not permitted during the game/contest. No food or beverages will be allowed into the stadium and bags will be checked by Alfred University Public Safety. All federal, state, and local laws apply, and underage drinking is prohibited. All individuals and groups are responsible for collecting trash and recyclables and disposing of such in an appropriate way.

Concessions:
Alfred University Athletics will continue to provide concessions for all fans wishing to purchase snacks and beverages while rooting on the Saxons.
 
Pet Policy:
As much as we care for all pets, for the safety of all spectators, they are not allowed in Yunevich Stadium.

Alfred University and the Empire 8 Conference are committed to the principles of good sportsmanship. We believe all student-athletes, coaches and spectators should strive to represent the very best spirit and tradition of intercollegiate athletics. We request your cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner. Profanity, sexist, ethnic, racist and homophobic comments as well as intimidating actions directed at officials, student-athletes, coaches and game personnel will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition. Alcohol, tobacco and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited at all Alfred University athletics events.
