ALFRED, NY - Five members of the Alfred University men's rugby team were named as 2025-26 National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Scholastic All-Americans following the 2025-26 academic year. 

Chevon Adriaans (Paramaribo, Suriname/SGS), Ehab AlQtam (Malah, Yemen/Newcomb Central), Shehab AlQtam (Malah, Yemen/Qurum International Private School), Eddie Hart IV (Wilton, NY/Saratoga Springs) and Ayomideji Israel-Akinbo (Makhanda, Eastern Cape, South Africa/St. Andrews College) were the Saxons that qualified for the NCR's list of 1,148 student-athletes, with 675 coming from the men's side. 

To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 GPA or higher for the academic year and be rostered for at least 50 percent of the A-side matches during the Fall XVs or Spring 7s seasons. 

"We are proud to recognize such an outstanding group of student-athletes this year," NCR CEO Jeremy Treece said. "These young leaders continue to elevate the standard of collegiate rugby through their commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
