ALFRED, NY -- The Alfred University men's lacrosse team won its fourth straight game with another big win over Keuka College 23-3 on Wednesday night.

Ben Cunningham (Dover, MD/The Gunston School) was all over the field and the face-off unit dominated. Great to see everyone get on the field.
Marcus Darminio (Marcellus, NY/Marcellus) had a great day!"
Darminio led AU scoring with four goals and two assists, including an incredible behind-the-back goal late on.
Cole Loewke (Hilton, NY/Hilton) also tallied six points with three goals and assists apiece. Cunningham was dominant with an assist of his own with a shot, four ground balls, and a caused turnover.
The Saxons (6-3, 2-0 Empire 8) also had three four-point scorers, made up of four goals from
Drew Smith (Walworth, NY/Ruben A. Cirillo).
Sam Herle (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) and
Nick Volpe (Corning, NY/Corning-Painted Post) also scored four points with Volpe scoring three goals and Herle putting two in the net.
Brendan Riley (Fairport, NY/Fairport) also had three goals of his own with
Michael Gruin (Hamburg, NY/Orchard Park) recording three points with two goals and an apple.
Mason Dressler (Selinsgrove, PA/Selinsgrove Area) and
Christian Moon (Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse Minoa) wrapped up the scoring for the Saxons over the Wolves (5-4, 0-2 Empire 8).
Other scorers for AU included assists for
Brady McGowan (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park),
Tariq Joseph Jr (Newark, NY/Newark), and
Jacob Michaels (Macedon, NY/Ruben A. Cirillo).
In the crease, both
Max Sigmund (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) and
Alex Petrangelo (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) split the first half and second half respectively. Sigmund faced only two shots, making one save while Petrangelo made three stops.
Meanwhile, Alfred University controlled play from the get-go. They were up 9-0 late in the first quarter and never looked back. Their success came from face-off wins, with AU winning all but three all afternoon.
Hunter Cupp (Bath, NY/Haverling) went 15-for-16 with
Rhett Krieger (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora) winning 10-of-11. Finally,
Jacob Smith (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) won 2-of-3 face-offs in the win.
Alfred's four-game home stand saw them win four straight games, and they'll look to take the momentum on the road against St. John Fisher on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
