ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University dressage equestrian ended its season with a fourth place team finish at Centenary University (New Jersey) on Saturday evening.
The Saxons saw improvement from their first trip to Hackettstown, NJ back in October. In their first trip, they finished in fifth place.
AU's top scoring rider in their Test rides by
Ellis Trendell (Seekonk, MA/School One) who finished third in First Level.
Maggie Childs (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) followed in fifth place.
Lily Coats (New Boston, NH/Goffstown) also took third place in her Test in Intro.
Keira Sims (Corning, NY/Corning-Painted Post) and
Samantha Smit (Columbiana, OH/Ursuline) took fourth and an Honorable Mention in Lower Training, respectively.
Ryann McElroy (Roscoe, NY/Sullivan West) brings home a fifth place ribbon in Upper Training.
During their Dressage Seat Equitation rides, Sims had the top ribbon, taking home a second place finish in Lower Training. McElroy finished third in Upper Training. Trendell earned a fourth place finish in First Level and
Megan Wilson (Youngstown, OH/Ursuline) took home a fifth place finish in Intro.
Overall, for the year, the Saxons finished fourth as a team. Trendell earned third in First Level, Coats and Smit finished fourth (Coats in Intro and Smit in Lower) and McElroy finished sixth in Upper.
