Saxons Earn First Win of Season Against Fredonia

ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's tennis team hosted its first home match of the season, where it defeated Fredonia (0-2, 0-0 SUNYAC) by a score of 6-1 on Wednesday.

"Without two of our usual starters, the team did a great job of stepping up and getting a strong result," Head Coach Jake Fisler said. "This was definitely a team win and I am very proud of how they came together and rose to the challenge. Looking forward to taking this energy into our next match this Friday when we take on Mount Aloysius at home."

The Saxons (1-1, 0-0 Empire 8) took the doubles point to start the match.
