ALFRED, NY – Alfred University's Taylor Malone (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) was named an Empire 8 Women's Volleyball Co-Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
 
Malone had a four-set career-high in kills on Wednesday as she helped the Saxons defeat Hilbert College on the road. She totaled 23 kills and finished with 24.0 points as she added one service ace. Her points and kills were both match-highs as she recorded a team-high attack percentage of .356 on 45 attacks with seven errors. Malone recorded a double-double as she had 11 digs, tying for a team second best in the category. She added one set assist on the evening.
 
Malone was joined by Alina Zabihailo (Kyiv, Ukraine/Educational Complex #143) as the Empire 8 Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week on Monday.
