ALFRED, NY – Alfred University's Samantha Stock (Ellicottville, NY/Ellicottville Central) and Gianna Sapienza (Crown Point, IN/Crown Point) were named to the Upstate New York Collegiate Rugby Conference (UNYCRC) All-Conference Teams.
 
"I'm incredibly proud that Samantha and Gianna were honored with All-Conference selections this year," Director of Rugby and Head Women's Rugby Coach, Dr. Nicole Bernsen said. "Sam continues to take on responsibilities on the pitch and is central to our game plan. Gigi was everything we could ask for in a senior and played every minute of every 7s match. They have been outstanding leaders and the heart of our team this 7s season, putting the work in, pushing themselves and their teammates to the best they can be on and off the field."
 
Stock was named to the UNYCRC All-Conference First Team while Sapienza earned Second Team honors.
 
Stock totaled three tries on the year and was named Player of the Match three times. Sapienza scored two tries on the year.
