GREENWOOD, IN – Five members of the Alfred University softball team were selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III, as announced on Tuesday.
 
Abigail Gatza (Burlington, ON, Canada/Assumption Catholic), Delaney Prather (North East, PA/North East), Jessica Remm (Carmel, IN/Carmel), Kendall Steward (Kennedy, NY/Randolph) and Molly Whitmyer (Enola, PA/Trinity) were selected for this honor.
 
"Super proud of these girls," Head Coach Luke Wesneski said. "Not only do they get after it in the classroom, but they take of business on the field as well. We are fortunate to have a great group of scholar athletes that understand the importance of academics at Alfred University and create a culture of excellence on the field as well."
 
The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
