GENESEO, NY - The Alfred University women's lacrosse team competed in their final road contest of the spring season following a 25-0 loss to Geneseo on Wednesday.
"We had a tough time generating offense, but we battled the whole game and left it all on the field," Head Coach
Julie Decker said.
Amelia Booth (Staatsburg, NY/FDR) recorded the first shot on goal for the Saxons at the 13:28 mark of the opening quarter. The next scoring opportunity for AU came in the second quarter, as
Paige Stansfield (Painted Post, NY/Corning-Painted Post) had her free position shot saved by Geneseo.
Booth recorded a pair of shots in the second half for AU, but the consistent scoring efforts of the Knights was enough to come away with the win.
