ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's basketball team travels to play against No. 2 SUNY Geneseo on Saturday, February 22 at 2:00 PM for the first round of the Empire 8 Championship Tournament.

The Saxons return to the postseason after coming up one spot short of qualifying in 2024. Alfred University has made the E8 Championship in three of the last five seasons. The Saxons will be the No. 7 seed after ending the regular season with a 13-12 record and 7-9 in league play. Alfred University earned its playoff berth after defeating Keuka College on the road, 54-51, on February 7.

Doors on Saturday will open at 1:00 PM. Ticket prices for the event are:

- Adults, $6
- Senior Citizens (65+) & Youth (12-17), $4
- Students with valid ID, $4
- Children (ages 3-12), Free
