GENESEO, NY – The Alfred University women's tennis (7-4, 4-3 Empire 8) team dropped an Empire 8 match at SUNY Geneseo (6-2, 5-1 Empire 8), 7-0, on Saturday.

"A hard-fought battle," Head Coach Jake Fisler said. "The scores do not reflect how close these matches were. We put up a good fight and will take what we can into the next match."

Becca Epping (Mitchell, IN/Bedford North Lawrence) played a close second set at No. 3 singles, where she registered four points in a two-point loss.

The Saxons travel to Houghton University on Wednesday at 5:00 PM.
