BROCKPORT, NY -- The Alfred University men's soccer team took a 2-0 loss against the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles on Wednesday night.

Alfred had their first chance of the evening from Ian Landsittel (New Providence, NJ/New Providence) off a corner from Rodrigo Perez (Pelencia, Spain/IES Victorio Macho) before falling behind in the 21st minute. Juan Jose Menendez Gutierrez (Villanueva Cañada, Madrid, Spain/Woodstock Academy) led the way with two shots, both on target and challenging the goalkeeper.

Dennis Hayes V (Ferndale, MI/Berkley) had the same stat of two shots off the bench in 59 minutes of action, only one being on frame. Perez and Hamza Kromah (Margibi, Liberia/Western Reserve Academy) also each had a shot on target. They totaled up 10 total shots, half of them on net while boasting two corner kicks in the match.

In the defeat, two Saxon netminders saw action. Tyler Mulholland (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township) stopped two shots in 79 minutes of action, while Connor Russell (Canastota, NY/Canastota) played the final 11 minutes actionless in his second appearance of the season.

AU (4-8-2, 2-5-2 Empire 8) continue facing the cream of the crop in the Empire 8 conference, hosting SUNY Geneseo at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
