UTICA, NY -- The Alfred University women's soccer team took on Utica University on Saturday afternoon, coming away with a 4-0 loss.

The two Saxon shots recorded on the afternoon both came in the first half from Lina Young (North Collins, NY/North Collins) and Madison Rudenauer (Hornell, NY/Hornell) from the back line. Kiani Barnard-Pratt (Westford, MA/Westford Academy) was kept busy with two saves in the first half.

Lauren Mott (Cortland, NY/Cortland) entered into the match for the second half in relief, making four saves of her own in a busy affair in her second appearance of the season. She was joined by Reyna Hermoza (Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada/Lewiston-Porter) and Riley Perez (Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay), who both were also making their second appearances of the season.

Alfred University (6-6-2, 2-3-2 Empire 8) will look to get back to winning ways on home turf at Yunevich Wednesday night against SUNY Brockport at 7:00 p.m.
