GROVE CITY, PA - The Alfred University women's tennis team wrapped up their weekend with a 7-0 loss to Grove City College on Saturday afternoon.
"Grove City is a good team and provides a great opportunity to gauge where we are at," Head Coach
Jake Fisler said. "The team fought hard and made them work for it. We have to continue to trust the process and put the work in."
All three pairs for the Saxons won at least one set in doubles action, with
Claire Lander (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) and
Averill Hollond (Linwood, KS/Basehor-Linwood) giving a competitive effort from the No. 3 position. In singles,
Elizabeth Madsen (Portland, OR/Grant) represented AU well from the top of the lineup.
Alfred University will next host Lycoming College on Wednesday at 4:00 PM.
