ALFRED, NY - The Alfred University women's tennis team wrapped up their first stretch of non-conference competition with a 4-3 loss to Lycoming College on Wednesday from the Alfred University Tennis Courts.
"We were very evenly matched throughout," Head Coach
Jake Fisler said. "
Elizabeth Madsen showed great problem solving with a dominant performance at No. 2 singles against a tricky opponent. We have improved each match and are ready to begin conference play this weekend."
Lycoming managed to win a point from doubles play, but AU saw a competitive performance from
Claire Lander (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) and
