OLEAN, NY – The Alfred University women's tennis team fell to Farmingdale State on Saturday evening, 7-0 from St. Bonaventure University's indoor tennis courts.
 
The Saxons (0-2, 0-0 Empire 8) had their closest finish at No. 1 singles by Elizabeth Madsen (Portland, OR/Grant). She fell in a third set tiebreaker, unfortunately.
 
"This is a match where the score didn't reflect the fight," Head Coach Jake Fisler said. "I am proud of the effort that the team put in and how they supported each other. They were a good team and we battled hard."
 
The Saxons will next travel to Fredonia on Wednesday, September 4 for a 5pm non-conference match.
