ALFRED, NY – Alfred University's Natalee Collins (Waterville, NY/Waterville) was named the Empire 8 Women's Basketball Co-Rookie of the Week on Monday in an official announcement by Associate Commissioner, Joe Venniro.
 
Collins shot over 50% and neared a double-double in an overtime loss at Elmira College. She hit 6-of-10 from the floor, adding an and-one for 13 points while pulling down six defensive rebounds and three offensive boards. Collins tacked on two blocks and a steal.
 
Collins was joined by Olivia Gilbert (Ontario, NY/Wayne) as the Women's Track & Field Co-Track Athlete of the Week and William LaMastus (Maumee, OH/Anthony Wayne) as the Empire 8 Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week.
