"Medaille plays very hard and Coach Hack does a great job getting his guys ready," Head Coach

Schmidt opened scoring for the Saxons with a shot from beyond the arc. The Mavericks took a brief two-point lead before Curran scored four straight points for Alfred University. Following three lead changes, a 3-point shot from Enders gave AU the lead once again with just over six minutes to play in the half. Enders scored six more points, all from 3-point range, before Alfred University went into halftime with a 31-28 lead.
A layup from
Elliot Bowen (Salamanca, NY/Ellicotville) in the second half sparked a 9-0 run for the Saxons, as they led by as many as 12 points. The Mavericks were able to cut their deficit, but five quick points from Enders extended AU's lead once again. Late free throws for the Saxons were enough to secure the win on the road.
"It's always fun to play at home," Kaempffe said. "We're excited to get back to Alfred for the last few weeks."
Alfred University will next host Utica University on Friday with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 PM.
