Darviae Gray (Buffalo, NY/Amherst Central) was selected as the Empire 8 Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon after an official announcement from Associate Commissioner,
Joe Venniro.
Gray had not one, not two, but three collegiate career-highs in a high-scoring loss to Mount St. Joseph on Saturday. He broke his career marks in receiving yards, receiving touchdowns and his longest reception. Coming into the Saturday contest, he had top marks of 115 yards receiving, a long of 45 yards and one touchdown. After Saturday, Gray's new standards are set at 167 yards, a long of 69 yards and two touchdowns. Gray caught six passes to average 27.8 yards a catch.

Alina Zabihailo (Kyiv, Ukraine/Educational Complex #143) who was named the Empire 8 Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday. Gray and the Saxons will next travel to face Ithaca College on Saturday, September 17 for a 1:00pm non-conference matchup.
