ALFRED, NY – Alfred University Athletics is pleased to recognize this year's Chi Alpha Sigma Honor society inductees as 28 Saxon scholar-athletes will be welcomed into the prestigious athletic honors society for the 2020-21 season.
 
Chi Alpha Sigma is the first national scholar-athlete society to honor collegiate student-athletes who have excelled in both the classroom and in athletic competition. Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes college students who receive a varsity letter in their sport while earning a 3.4 or higher cumulative grade point average.
 
The 28 junior inductees as well as the 12 returning senior honorees will all be honored in a halftime ceremony during the men's lacrosse contest against St. John Fisher College on Wednesday, April 28, at approximately 4:45 p.m.

"I am extremely proud of all of our inductees in Chi Alpha Sigma and salute them for the tremendous balance they have found between excelling in the classrooms and as collegiate athletes," said Paul Vecchio, Director of Athletics. "Their accomplishments are more special, considering the numerous obstacles thrown at them over the last 13 months and for that, I am thankful for their hard work and resiliency. We are elated that we have a chance to honor them in a public setting this year."
