Sarah Raeman (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) represented the Alfred University Women's Volleyball team on the Empire 8 Players of the Week listings as she was named the Volleyball Player of the Week on Monday afternoon in an official announcement by Associate Commissioner,
Joe Venniro.

Raeman had two matches where she had hitting percentages of over .300, including a season-high, .412 hitting percentage against Houghton College, totaling 18 kills on 34 attacks with only four errors. She totaled a match-high 20.5 points to go along with her match-high 18 kills. Raeman added three block assists and a solo block in the match to get to the 20.5 points. She closed out the week with a .346 hitting percentage at SUNY Oneonta, defeating the Red Dragons for the first time since 2003 as the Saxons topped them in three sets.

Raeman had 14.0 points in the match with 12.0 coming from kills as both were also match-high marks. She got her other 2.0 points from service aces. Raeman totaled 43.5 points on the week with 38 kills, three aces, three block assists and one solo block. She also added 10 digs with a season-high six against Houghton College.

She was also named one of the two Saxons of the Week, alongside women's soccer's
Abigail Austin (Hornell, NY/Hornell). Austin was also on the listings on Monday as the Empire 8 Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Raeman and the Saxons will next have a string of solo matches in Empire 8 action as they will travel to St. John Fisher College on Friday, October 8 for a 6:00pm first serve.
