UTICA, NY – The Alfred University women's lacrosse team ran into a freight train in Utica College on Saturday afternoon. The Saxons (1-7, 0-3 Empire 8) fell by a score of 26-0 to the Pioneers.

Madison Latranyi (Danville, PA/Danville Area) and
Taylor Miller (Medina, NY/Medina) each recorded one shot on goal for AU. Miller also won three draw controls.

Grace Evans (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) and
Paige Rowlee (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) both caused two turnovers to leas the Saxon defense. Rowlee also came up with 13 saves over the course of 60 minutes in goal.

Alfred will look to get back on track with a night game next week, as the Saxons host Houghton College at 7PM.
