BUFFALO, NY – The Alfred University women's lacrosse team was on the road Tuesday evening for a non-conference matchup with D'Youville College. The Saxons (1-10, 0-5) fell to the Spartans by a score of 21-4.
Madison Latranyi (Danville, PA/Danville Area) continued her stellar first-year campaign and was the offense for the Saxons on Tuesday as she recorded four goals, all unassisted. Latranyi also won five draw controls and picked up three ground balls.
Taylor Miller (Medina, NY/Medina) led the defense with two caused turnovers while grabbing three ground balls.
Paige Rowlee (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) was busy in the net as she faced 49 shots and recorded a career high 23 saves in 60 minutes.
Alfred will return home this Friday evening for a game against Hartwick College at 5PM.
