ROCHESTER, NY – The Alfred University women's lacrosse team fell to No. 24 nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College Tuesday afternoon, 21-0.
 
The Saxons' (0-13, 0-7 Empire 8) got three shots off, with two on goal. Senior midfielder Miranda Gilbert (Watertown, NY/Watertown) and sophomore defender Allison Hanvey (Camden, NY/Camden) each had one shot on goal. Fisher had 33 shots with 27 on goal.
 
Senior goalkeeper Shannon Gray (Rochester, NY/Churchvill-Chili) earned the loss in net, as she played the first half making five saves. First-year goalkeeper Paige Rowlee (Fulton, NY/ G. Ray Bodley) started the second as she made one save.
 
Gilbert led the way in ground balls as she collected three. Gray and first-year attack Jenna Cordone (Gloversville, NY/Gloversville) each grabbed one ground ball. Gilbert and Cordone also added one caused turnover apiece. 
 
The Saxons return home this Saturday, April 28^th, as they take on Utica College on Senior Day at 1 PM.
