Chi Alpha Sigma welcomes 22 Alfred University student-athletes

ALFRED, NY – Twenty-two Alfred University students were honored Wednesday for their induction into a Chi Alpha Sigma, the national honor society for collegiate athletes.

The students were recognized at halftime of the men's lacrosse game against Houghton College on Wednesday, April 26. To earn induction into Chi Alpha Sigma, a student-athlete must have completed at least five semesters of academic work; earn a varsity letter; and possess a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.40.

Saxon student-athletes recognized Wednesday for their induction into Chi Alpha Sigma were:

Football: Alexander LiCata (Lake View, NY/Frontier); Trevor Monk (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool); Vincent Williams (East Northport, NY/Northport)

Men's Lacrosse: Samuel DiRisio (Prattsburgh, NY/Penn Yan); Matthew Zandri (Baldwinsville, NY/Baldwinsville)

Women's Lacrosse: Shannon Gray (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili)

Men's Soccer: Samuel Craver (Great Falls, VA/Field School); Jesse Lichtman (Mahopac, NY/Mahopac)

Softball: Kerri Keeler (Jamesville, NY/Jamesville-DeWitt)

Men's Swimming and Diving: Zachary Goodwin (Holden, MA/Wachusett); Ethan Zyglocke (Livonia, NY/Livonia)

Women's Swimming and Diving: Elizabeth Finney (Dryden, NY/Dryden)

Men's Track and Field: Seth Spicer (Corning, NY/Corning-Painted Post)

Women's Tennis: Sarah Grace (Rochester, NY/Penfield); Beryl Torthe (Pretoria, South Africa/St. Mary's Diocesan)
