ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's lacrosse team fell at home against visiting Stevens Institute of Technology, 21-0 Sunday afternoon at Yunevich Stadium.

The Saxons (2-6, 0-3 Empire 8) were able to get seven shots on goal but were unable to find the back of the net. Junior
Miranda Gilbert (Watertown, NY/Watertown) led the team with four shots. Gilbert also led the team in ground balls with four.

The Ducks were led offensively by
Mariel Haubrich with eight assists along with
Kyra Bednarski (two goals, three assists) and
Cami Santor (three goals, two assists) with five points apiece. Stevens held the advantage in draw controls, 18-3.

Junior
Shannon Gray (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) earned the loss in net as she made eight saves on 29 shot faced.
Stephanie Schnelzer earned the win in net for Stevens making two saves.
Alex Samper started the second half, making five saves.

The Saxons are off until Saturday, April 8
th, when they travel to Utica College in Empire 8 action at 1 p.m.
