ELMIRA, NY – Senior guard
Tyler Seelman (Lorton, VA/Hayfield Secondary) helped power the Alfred University past Elmira College, dropping 30 points in the Alfred University men's basketball team's 84-66 victory Tuesday evening.

Seelman went 10-for-18 from the field, knocking down four three pointers and making six-of-seven free throw attempts. Senior forward
Eric Adams (Readington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) had a season-high 11 points and a game-high five rebounds for the Saxons (10-14, 7-8 Empire 8).
Alfred was able to find the soft spot in Elmira's defense by outscoring the Soaring Eagles 44-22 in the paint. Alfred held a 13-5 advantage in second chance points, and also capitalized on 29 Elmira turnovers, while committing just 11 miscues of their own.

The Soaring Eagles were paced by
Justin Porrett with 16 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Hayden Harkins chipped in eight points, five rebounds and two assists.

The Saxons close out the 2016-17 season on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 4 p.m. at Houghton College.
