HOBOKEN, NJ - The Alfred University men's basketball team lost 81-49 to host Stevens in Empire 8 play Saturday afternoon at the Canavan Arena.
The Saxons (5-10, 2-4 Empire 8) had troubles on the offensive end as they shot 24 percent from the field to Stevens Institute of Technology's 34 percent. Junior forward
Dalton Cousin (Sherrill, NY/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) led the Saxons with 10 points and sophomore guard
Scotty Stopera (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville) chipped in eight points. Senior guard
Julian Reinhart (Hornell, NY/Hornell) led the Saxons in rebound with six.
The Ducks were paced by
Chris Cosgrove who had 16 points and
Evan Klimchak who added 15 points, respectively.
Thomas Cook led the team with seven rebounds with
Ryan Coffee grabbing six rebounds.
Alfred is in action next Thursday, January 19
th, as they take on Elmira College at 8 p.m.
