BRADFORD, PA – Alfred University shut out the host Pitt-Bradford by the score of 4-0 Tuesday, jumping out to a 3-0 halftime lead and cruising to the victory.
The Saxons (4-1, 0-0 Empire 8) jumped on the Panthers early, getting on the scoreboard 3:31 into the match early in the match when sophomore defensemen
Brennan Jelstrom (Loudonville, NY/Shaker) found senior defensemen
James Piombino (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) off the corner kick to give the Saxons the early lead. The Saxons tallied more corner kicks that the Panthers, 16-2.

Colin Frowngelter, allowed all four goals in while making seven saves. The Saxons outshot the Panthers 25-6 and held a 16-2 edge in corner kicks.
